Right of refusal
The right to refuse is an individual right, which means that each worker has the responsibility to avail himself of it when his work involves a danger to his health. It is a specific and individual right of workers, not a right negotiated in a collective agreement.
Indeed, Boudenib Industry Company gives its employees the right to refuse to perform work if they have reasonable grounds for believing that such work exposes them to a danger to their health, safety or physical integrity or that of others.
Main prohibitions within SBI:
- Working without wearing PPE,
- Performing a risky activity without a risk analysis - HSE inspector present,
- Accessing heights without signing a height notice,
- Driving for more than 2 hours continuously,
- Violation of internal regulations,
- Non-compliance with SBI instructions,
- Carrying out a critical operation without the presence of a works supervisor - HSE inspector.
